Help break the Guinness World Record for “most people hiking simultaneously!”

This monumental event aims to showcase the transformative power of being outdoors and demonstrates our long-standing dedication to adventure, innovation, and sustainability. We know that outside is where we live our best lives.

The Kathmandu World’s Biggest Hike is a FREE event and takes place at Cypress Mountain, Vancouver’s biggest mountain, along an approximately 4-kilometer path. It’s open to anyone who is comfortable with moderate hiking terrain.

Working with event partner Cypress Mountain, we have taken every precaution to ensure a fun and environmentally friendly event. You can expect scenic views, energizing music, as well as fun and education from vendors at the base of the mountain.

Plus, you’ll get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the group marking a new Guinness World Record for “most people hiking simultaneously!”

Another feature of the event is to highlight and raise money for our community partners. One hundred percent of proceeds from the purchase of World’s Biggest Hike t-shirts and water bottles will go directly to the nonprofit organizations BC Parks Foundation, Take a Hike Foundation, and North Shore Rescue. You can also donate to any of the three partners through the World’s Biggest Hike registration page on Eventbrite.

BC Parks Foundation’s mission is to create the greatest system of parks and Indigenous protected areas in the world. They aim to inspire and empower you to enjoy these beautiful places in BC, so that they flourish for now, for all, forever.

Take a Hike Foundation aims to support and empower vulnerable youth with a trauma-informed program combining clinical counselling, land-based learning, academics and community.

North Shore Rescue is a mountain search and rescue team based in Vancouver and consists of approximately 50 volunteers skilled in search and rescue operations in mountain, canyon, and urban settings.
